The amazing journey of a Christmas shoebox begins with you. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. We pack the boxes with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children outside the United States affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease. Beginning next Sunday, Operation Christmas Child boxes will be available in the lobby. You’ll be able to return your filled shoeboxes to The Ridge any day by November 24th. Visit us online to find more info.

You can return your filled boxes anytime before November 24th. You may use your own shoeboxes if you didn’t have a chance to grab an official OCC shoebox.

Need ideas and packing info?

Visit the official Operation Christmas Child website. Be sure to look at the list of suggested items, and the list of items to avoid. Some items are unable to be shipped, such as toothpaste and candy. Shipping costs are applicable.

Can I track my shoebox?

Yes! You can follow your box to find out what country will receive it. To do so, click here and follow the instructions when you pack your shoebox.

Why am I being asked to cover shipping?

Your $9 donation for shipping is very important. Shoeboxes are dropped off at over 5000 locations around the world, and then sent via truck to one of eight processing centers. From there, volunteers inspect your box, add a gospel booklet, and prepare your special box for international shipping. Through the years, shoeboxes have been delivered to over 150 countries. Your donation makes all of this possible. If you’re interested in volunteering, please click here.
