The Generosity Campaign

The holiday season is upon us! This year, we want to encourage you to live more generously. We’re beginning something new at The Ridge called The Generosity Campaign. It’s a campaign that will help us, as a church, impact our community, state and world for Christ. Watch the videos below, and scroll down to find more information on each of the four areas we’re supporting through the campaign.

Operation Christmas Child

A small shoebox can have a big impact! Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has delivered some 69 million gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls in more than 130 countries through Operation Christmas Child. This year, we are very excited to be a part of Operation Christmas Child through the Generosity Campaign.

Here’s what’s happening over the next several weeks:

Nov. 1 – 16: we’ll be collecting filled shoeboxes as well as items to fill shoeboxes.
Nov. 16:  we’ll be having a packing party here at the Ridge during our Generosity Campaign Party. Click here for more details on the party.
Nov. 17-24: we’ll be an official drop-off location during Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week! Hours of drop off are Monday – Friday, 10am – 12pm, 6-8pm; Saturday, 6-8pm; Sunday, 9am-1pm (Monday, November 24, we’ll only be collecting from 10am-12pm)

If you’d like to pack your own shoebox and bring it in, click here for detailed instructions on how to pack a shoebox, a gift suggestion list, and how to download and print off a label for your box.

Winter Coat Drive

We’re collecting kid and adult size winter coats, scarves, gloves, and hats to give to those in need this winter. Beginning November 1 through November 16, bring in new or gently used winter items to the Winter Coat Drive. Then, on November 16, join us at the Generosity Party to organize the winter gear.

Know someone in need of winter gear? Stop by the ridge to shop for items November 17 – 24 (hours are Monday – Friday, 10am-12pm and 6-8pm; Saturday, 6-8pm; Sunday, 10am – 1pm; Monday, Nov. 24, 10am – 12pm).

Christmas Light Orbs

Everyone loves Christmas! This year, we want to get as many people as possible through the doors for our Christmas services. One way we’re going to attract people to the church is by placing huge, lighted orbs on the front lawn. Our hope is that it will draw people to drive by the church to see the lights, as well as details about service times. Join us on November 16 at the Generosity Party to help construct these lighted orbs!
