Operation Christmas Child 2019

Operation Christmas Child 2019

The amazing journey of a Christmas shoebox begins with you. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. We pack the boxes with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children outside the United States affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease. Beginning next Sunday, Operation Christmas Child boxes will be available in the lobby. You’ll be able to return your filled shoeboxes to The Ridge any day by November 24th. Visit us online to find more info.

You can return your filled boxes anytime before November 24th. You may use your own shoeboxes if you didn’t have a chance to grab an official OCC shoebox.

Need ideas and packing info?

Visit the official Operation Christmas Child website. Be sure to look at the list of suggested items, and the list of items to avoid. Some items are unable to be shipped, such as toothpaste and candy. Shipping costs are applicable.

Can I track my shoebox?

Yes! You can follow your box to find out what country will receive it. To do so, click here and follow the instructions when you pack your shoebox.

Why am I being asked to cover shipping?

Your $9 donation for shipping is very important. Shoeboxes are dropped off at over 5000 locations around the world, and then sent via truck to one of eight processing centers. From there, volunteers inspect your box, add a gospel booklet, and prepare your special box for international shipping. Through the years, shoeboxes have been delivered to over 150 countries. Your donation makes all of this possible. If you’re interested in volunteering, please click here.

Serving Beyond

Serving Beyond

Serving and giving at The Ridge are important for our growth and future, but we also see valuable opportunities to make a difference beyond the walls of the church. Not only do we want to focus on the next generation, and create welcoming environments at The Ridge—we want to reach out into our community, state, region, and world.

Our goal is to bring together anyone with a desire to give back to the community, partner with outside organizations, and serve alongside others. When we work together as a team, a greater impact can be made. Let’s begin making a difference together.

Night of Worship

Night of Worship

You are invited to join us at Chestnut Ridge Church for a fun night of music and praise!

Night of Worship is a time where singing and worship are welcomed and encouraged. It’s a step beyond the weekend service where you can grow even closer to God through music. Invite your family and friends to enjoy your favorite songs as a part of an extended time of music, prayer, and praise!

If you’ve never been to a Night of Worship, you’ve been hesitant to check out Ridge events, or you’re new to The Ridge, we strongly encourage you to join us! This event is an easy way to take a step towards getting more acquainted with The Ridge, and we’d love to have you! It’s a powerful and enjoyable musical experience for everyone, no matter what stage of life and faith you’re in.

Night of Worship will be held on Sunday evening. Join us in the morning at 9am or 11am to listen to the weekend message, then worship through song together at 5pm!

There will be no kids’ programming during Night of Worship. However, we invite the entire family to enjoy this special event!
