Verge [4th & 5th grade]

The preteen years (4th & 5th grade) are a time of transition. It is a time when kids are engaging with God’s truth in new ways as they learn to think more critically. They aren’t quite little kids anymore, but they aren’t teenagers either. They’re in-between! That’s why Verge exists: to effectively inspire and equip students to develop a faith of their own.

Verge meets during the 9am and 11am services at The Ridge. Preteens should be checked in at any of the family ministry check-in kiosks, and they should wear their name tag throughout their time in Verge. Parents will use their corresponding name tag to pick up their child.

What to expect

Verge meets in a fun and casual atmosphere. Yup, you can just wear what you’d wear to school!

The fun begins with a time to socialize with others in the same grade, and then moves into a large-group time filled with exciting games, upbeat music, and fun video teaching. Verge students will then head into their own small-group where they will discuss the large-group message connecting God’s truth to everyday life.

Verge opens 15 minutes prior to each morning service and closes 15 minutes after the end of the service.

Where to go

The Verge room is located on the second floor at the beginning of the hallway, opposite the elementary wing. From the lobby, if you enter the double doors just past the coffee bar, there will be a set of stairs on your left. At the top of the stairs, head straight down the hallway in front of you, and Verge will be on your right.
