Sometimes spending time with God can feel overwhelming. Where to start? What to do? Do I have to be alone? Does it have to take forever? How boring is it going to be, and what am I actually going to get out of it?
Most people have mixed feelings when it comes to spending time with God. God can seem very far away and incredibly confusing. Part of growing in our relationship with God is being with Him, but we need some new tools to help us know what to do and how to begin.
Camp Summer Ridge 2017 will help you EXPERIENCE God like never before, helping you navigate new ways to be with Him.
Summer Ridge 2017 is all about escaping everyday life to discover who we truly are. We’ll be staying at Jumonville Christian Camp and Retreat Center. Join us starting Friday evening at 6:00p for fun, friends, games, food, and a chance to discover what your identity truly is. We’ll have a jammed packed weekend ending at 1 pm Sunday.(Please note: Transportation to and from camp is not included! Each student will need to arrange their own transportation.)
Who can attend Summer Ridge?
Any student entering 6th – 8th grades in the fall of 2017 (2017-2018 school year). Students who will be entering 9th grade will attend High School Camp with Wired)
What is included in the cost?
All camp fees, 5 meals (dinner Friday – breakfast Sunday), and a Summer Ridge T-shirt
What if I can’t attend the entire weekend?
We ask that students who are unable to be present for the entire weekend NOT register for SummerRidge until after the final registration deadline (May 16). This allows us to keep spots open for those who can be present for the entire experience.
Students who can only attend part of the weekend can register as a late registration between May 17 – 22 if spots are still available in your age group.
What should I expect at Summer Ridge?
A weekend full of awesome activities, insightful large group times, and meaningful small group discussion. Oh, and did we mention the awesome activities? Some activities include: soccer, volleyball, tether ball, races, competitions, and a pool time!
What should I bring to Summer Ridge?
A full packing list will be emailed out to everyone who is registered for the event. You will be expected to bring a bible, flashlight, towel, pillow, sleeping bag or linens for bunks, swimsuit with a dark t-shirt to wear while swimming (both genders), tennis shoes, toiletries, changes of clothes and other items to stay the weekend.
