Great marriages don’t just happen on their own… Great marriages take preparation and hard work. In this regard, we think of marriage in two ways: preparing for a great marriage, and working to maintain a great marriage.
- If you are thinking about engagement or are engaged, you can find next step information about marriage mentoring and weddings at Chestnut Ridge Church on the Weddings page of the website.
- If you are a married or engaged couple looking to connect with others in a community group or short-term group, you can take a step to do so by visiting the Community Groups page or the Short-Term Groups page of the website.
- If you are a married couple going through some challenges in your relationship and you’d like to talk to someone, there’s information about that [here].
Marriage Works Date Night, Marriage Works One Day, community groups with other married couples, and short-term groups are great ways to grow your relationship and connect with others who have a desire to do the same!
Marriage Works: Date Night is an opportunity for married couples to be intentional about their marriage. We want to help by providing great ideas and tools for a fun date night. It’s just for you to laugh, learn, and affirm each other.
Sometime the week of February 25–March 4, we want you to go on a date. We’ll even provide a Date Night Plan. In it you will find step-by-step instructions, light-hearted questions, and other fun surprises.
You may be wondering who this is for?
It’s for every married couple—newly marrieds, couples with kids, couples without kids, empty nesters, couples in crisis—because every couple needs to have some serious fun.
Also, as a perk, we’re going to give one couple a $50 gift card. All you have to do is bring your phone along to snap a pic of you two on your date… post it on social media using #MWDateNight… then put your phone away, because.. rude.
Whenever it’s convenient from February 25–March 4
