kidzCRIB is our environment on Sunday mornings for children from birth through 24 months. It is a clean, safe, and carefully staffed place where your children will be well cared for while you attend the worship service. We believe that basic truths can be understood even at this early age. Babies know when they are safe and secure. They know when they are being genuinely loved and respond to comfort. We think these are the earliest ways to demonstrate God’s love to them.

At Chestnut Ridge Church we recognize the importance of making a commitment to raise your child to know and love God.
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:4-7
The Baby Dedication at CRC is a time for you, as parents, to share with the church body your commitment to lead your children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, so that as they grow older, you are able to guide them and help them understand what that means. This event is not infant baptism. We believe that when people are old enough to understand what it means to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they should have the opportunity to make that choice for themselves. A very young child is not able to understand sin, forgiveness, the sacrifice our Savior made for us, and what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Baby Dedication event is designed as a way for parents to publicly profess their intent to raise their children in Christ.
We are continually adjusting our Baby Dedication process in hopes of creating a richer, more meaningful experience for your family. Dedicating your child to God is much more than just an event. It is an opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child; to really talk together and decide what you value and what you can do today that will have the greatest impact on your child’s future.
You will be the greatest influence in your child’s life.
As your church, we want to be your biggest fan and trusted guide.
As the Grinch discovered,
“Maybe Christmas… doesn’t come from a store.
Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more!’
Yes, Christmas means a whole lot more than the gifts, the dinners, the decorations and the parties.
Christmas is about God’s overwhelming love for us that He would give us His Son, so we could be with Him.
