Day 1 began as we all met at the church at 1 am to carpool to the Pittsburgh Airport.  Before we left CRC we had a group prayer time asking God to go before us in our journey.  It was evident all day today as we saw His hand in many things.  We were blessed with a fabulous Delta ticket agent who did not charge us for any of the 13 extra bags.  All our flights were on time and we enjoyed smooth sailing through customs in San Pedro Sula.  All bags were accounted for and the gang from La Ceiba was there to meet is with Ol’ Blue (as we affectionately call the blue school bus that the church owns).

After a lunch stop at the famous Power Chicken we were on our way to La Ceiba. After not seeing rain for over a month, it began raining on our trip to La Ceiba.  Thanks to some expert driving by Jesus (aka Chewy) we made it in time for theSunday night service at the downtown location of their church.  It was great to see familiar faces and introduce new team members to our church family in La Ceiba.  We enjoyed a night of worship before heading to meet our host families at their homes.  No doubt we will all sleep well as many of us have been awake for more that 36 hours!

Thank you for your prayers—we felt them.  Tomorrow we look forward to unpacking all the supplies that you so richly donated for us to bring down to Honduras.  Until tomorrow
