Over 1200 hundred winter items were available to be shared with members of our community on the afternoon of Sunday, November 19th, at the second Winter Coat Community Pick-up Day!

Items were donated by attendees of Chestnut Ridge Church, and they included over 600 coats, about 100 sweaters and approximately 500 scarves, hats and gloves. The lobby was open to anyone who wanted to stop by to shop-for-free for themselves, a neighbor, children in their school classroom, a parent or child.

Although the coat drive has been held for a few years, this is the second year for the Community Pick-up Day. All remaining items are being delivered to community organizations and ministry partners who will get them into the hands of those in need. Thanks to all who participated by donating or by bringing someone who needed a coat!
