At Chestnut Ridge Church, we recognize the importance of making a commitment to raise your child to know and love God.
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:4-7
Baby Dedication at The Ridge is a time for you, as parents, to share with the church body your commitment to lead your children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s designed as a way for parents to publicly profess and celebrate their intent to raise their children in Christ.
Dedicating your child to God is much more than just an event. It is an opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child; to really talk together and decide what you value; and to decide what you can do today in order to have the greatest impact on your child’s future.
You will be the greatest influence in your child’s life.
As your church, we want to be your biggest fan and trusted guide.
Families interested in participating in the Baby Dedication Celebration on Sunday, June 4 must attend one of the Baby Dedication Orientations. This orientation is a first step toward raising your child to know and experience God’s love for them and allows the church to begin to partner with you along this journey. During the orientation, you will receive tools to help you understand and prepare for the dedication process at The Ridge.
Orientations will be held:
Sunday, March 19 – in the Hub at 10:15 am, between the services;
Sunday, March 26 – in the Hub at 10:15 am, between the services, and again at 12:15 pm, immediately following the conclusion of the 11 am service.
