passion dance ‘06 [video]

frontiersman

by pat conrad

Out on the frontier
First breaths of the fresh air of freedom and wildness
Don’t know if I’m lost or…..
Am I rebelling?
But I’m searching
For something
Some place
Some One.
I must keep moving on
Deeper and deeper into the unknown,
Farther and farther into horizons and vistas unexplored.

Afraid of the hazards, the trials, the beasts
That await on the path that lies before me,
But more afraid to return to the cities and hamlets, even the outposts,
where comforts beckon me back to conformity,
The settlements where things are settled.
I must press on into the forest wilderness.

Hear my humble prayer and make me
Holy unto you,
Holy unto You.

Though none go with me,
Still I will follow.
No.
It’s better that none go with me
Or I will not follow.

Hear my humble prayer and make me
Holy unto You,
Holy unto You.

I will mark the path I take as I go,
Should I return with strength.

transition volunteers THANK YOU

Our goal, from the beginning, was to make our new building in Cheat Lake, feel like “home” to the thousands of people we knew would come through our doors, many of them for the very first time. This video, with footage from our Grand Opening and Christmas Eve weekends, demonstrates the incredible response to the hard work, prayers and love of all of our volunteers. Thank you for your participation in our mission to bring the love of God to our community.

why bother? [series]

It takes effort to go to church. There are other things to do on a Sunday morning: curl up with the Sunday paper, watch the game, mow the lawn. So why bother?
