marriageWORKS FAQ
1. Does Chestnut Ridge Church have a weekly opportunity for couples?
Yes, because we believe the community group is the best place for sustained life-change to occur.  In a Community Group, couples study God’s word together in a small enough environment to discuss the issues and challenges of life. It is also where they pray and care for each other, and they are missed if they do not show up.  Groups are made up of five or six couples and are the place where people are personally encouraged and challenged in their relationships with God and each other.

2. So why this format? Do you need a band, video, and all the bells and whistles for marriageWORKS to work?
We say, “No.” While we work hard on excellent programming, it’s not the heart of marriageWORKS. God and His heart for marriage is at the core. We’ve found that when we focus on one BIG idea at a time and help people to get it lives are changed.

3. Do you charge admission?
The cost is $12 per couple, but child-care costs are reimbursed.  You can pick up a reimbursement form the night of the event. We do our best to make the night a memorable celebration, and we believe the key is excellence in every facet. Professional musicians, audio and video, and top-quality materials and food are all expensive, so we ask couples to help us offset the cost of the events.
